The DiscovIR-GC™ connects to any standard Gas Chromatograph via a heated transfer line and a simple contact closure cable to signal the beginning of the run. Full spectra of each peak in the run are collected and can be compared to standard or custom IR libraries. Even volatile compounds are captured in the solid phase and yield higher resolution IR data than the corresponding gas-phase spectrum. |
MicroDeposition of the analytes on the sample disc provides up to 1000X higher sensitivity and enhanced chromatographic resolution over previous generations of GC-IR systems. Samples are fully immobilized and can be re-analyzed for additional sensitivity or in-depth analysis.
