Giansanti, Jr. , Founder, President & CEO has over 25 years experience in the microelectronics industry with a solid background in ‘start-up’ and ‘early stage’ companies. Most recently, as CEO/CTO of Micronetworks Corp., he led product development and supported worldwide marketing and sales, which grew the company from $7 to $77 million resulting in a successful sale within 4 years. As Founder/CEO of GMT Microelectronics, a wafer foundry business, he grew the company to a profitable $25 million revenue within 3 years. Prior to GMT he held management positions with National Semiconductor, Hewlett Packard and Commodore Intl. Mr. Giansanti earned his BS in Technology at the California Polytechnic Institute. William W. Carson William W. Carson, PE, Founder & Sr.VP Applications Engineering has over 20 years experience in scientific and bio-tech instrumentation, membrane and chromatographic separation processes, mass spectroscopy, electrophoresis, MEMS and nanotechnology. As Vice President of Research & Development at Ionics, Inc.; PerSeptive BioSystems, Millipore Corporation; and Waters Associates; he has demonstrated an ability to assimilate new market needs and translate them into business opportunities. Over $1 billion revenue has been generated on products covered by Mr. Carson’s 19 issued US patents and over 75 corresponding patents. He was an Acting Assistant Professor at Cornell University. Mr. Carson earned his BS & MS in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Sidney Bourne Dr. Sidney Bourne, Founder & Chief Scientist developed the first GC-IR product to supplant the gas phase ‘light-pipe’ instruments while at Argonne National Lab. Dr. Bourne moved with the product to Mattson Instruments where the ‘Cryolet’ generated sales nearly $10 million in 3 years. He then spent the next 5 years at Bio-Rad in Cambridge where he developed the next generation system called the ‘Tracer’, which generated nearly $8 million sales in 2 years. In 1993 he founded Bourne Scientific, Inc. to develop the current product called ‘The Detective’. Dr. Bourne has written and co-authored over 25 technical papers for scientific journals and conferences. Dr. Bourne earned his BS in Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Minnesota.
